The hardwood case is as beautiful as the piece of granite.
General McKee served from 1935 until his retirement in 1973, the last four years of which he was the Commander in Chief of NORAD, based at Cheyenne Mountain, colorado.
He served in so many places at such high positions, his collection of memorabilia was extensive.
After his family gathered up the items that meant the most to them, I was fortunate enough to be able to acquire a substantial amount of what was left.
I’ve sold most of that off over the years, and now I’m prepared to part with some of my crown jewels, like this retirement memorial.
