    Description

AIR FORCE BLACK OPS AREA 51 4451st GRIM REAPERS STEALTH FIGHTER AVIATION PATCH
    Description:
Brand new 4451st Test Squadron patch. Nicknamed the "Grim Reapers" the 4451st Test Squadron operated under the 4450th Tactical Group at the Tonopah Test Range. During the 1980s, the unit's mission was to fly a squadron of classified stealth fighters. After the Pentagon made know the existence of the stealth fighter program, the Grim Reapers were redesignated as the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron. The Air Force forced the Grim Reapers to change their name after the unit's existence became public. Unfortunately, the Air Force found the name did not pass the requirements for good taste. The Grim reapers, as a result, became the Ghost Riders.
This brand new patch is 4 1/2" length, 4" width, made of 100% embroidery and features a plastic backing.
This patch comes from the recently published book
"I Could Tell You Then You Would Have To Be Destroyed By Me."
